Combatant Commander Responsibilities
The Combatant Commanders are key to security assistance and security cooperation. They develop theater and country campaign plans, as appropriate, to conduct security cooperation programs and activities, and they coordinate on seam issues or functional responsibilities. Combatant Commanders also supervise the SCOs in matters related to execution of the Guidance for Employment of the Force and provide technical assistance and administrative support to the SCOs. For more information regarding DoD organization responsibilities, refer to the SAMM Chapter 2, Section 2.3. The SAMM is available at www.dsca.mil/SAMM.
